Customer Telephone Service

Telephone service is available from Midwest Control Corporation for systems purchased from Midwest Control Corporation containing a telephone modem. Purchasing a system with a modem installed does not include any charges for service using the modem. Systems eligible for modem installation currently are systems that contain Panasonic PLC’s and Panasonic Operator Terminals. Other systems may be added to this list from time to time so you may check with us to see if your system may qualify for modem installation. Even if a system has a modem installed not all issues can be addressed using the modem. Some changes to a system will still require an onsite visit from an engineer or technician. To find out if changes can be performed using a modem, contact the Midwest Control Corporation engineering department at 708-599-1331 x-135. If the modem can be used to accomplish the change time will be scheduled for a Midwest Control Corporation engineer to review and make the changes, if possible, prior to calling the modem. Some requests, to use the modem to solve a problem, such as debugging require monitoring the system online. Until a determination of the problem has occurred the problem can not be corrected. Every attempt will be made to minimize the amount of time connected to the modem.

Customers with established credit may fax a purchase order to 1-708-599-1408 and then contact the engineering department to schedule the work. If you have not established credit you may use a major credit card (American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa) to pay for the service.

 

Applicable Rates and Charges

 

• All telephone service work will be scheduled and performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm local time from our offices in Illinois, USA.

• The hourly rate for telephone service work is $125.00 per hour.

• There is a 2 hour minimum.

• Work beyond the 2 hour minimum will be charged in 15 minute increments.

• Any questions concerning this service may be answered by contacting the engineering department at the above phone number.

 

Why use this service?

 

• Many issues can be resolved quicker than waiting for an onsite service call.

• There is no charge for expenses (Airfare, car rental, meals, motel rooms, etc.)
